In The Mood

In The Mood take their show into aged care homes and to private audiences, mixing old-time favourites with trivia, humour and a splash of tap dancing. Phillip Campagna and Ailsa Page shape it using ideas from adult learning, gerontology and music therapy, alongside plain good entertainment. Between them they've done everything from rock 'n' roll gigs on the snowfields to classical piano recitals. The repertoire tops 300 songs from the 1920s to the 90s, including country, Australian and rock 'n' roll favourites, songs chosen for particular cultures, Christmas shows and themed events. They also made Singsational, a subtitled sing-along DVD for aged care homes. Setting up is simple: about 1.5 metres square, power if it's available, and a spot to park or drop gear close by. They arrive half an hour early. Running shows since 2018, they're insured and cover all of Victoria from Melbourne and Sea Lake.
