Room size decides which iCandy you book. At its smallest it's a trio: a live singer, electric guitar and keys, with harmonies and beats filling out the sound, so it fits a venue with volume limits or not much floor space. Bigger rooms can have four players, or six or seven once a DJ and horns come in. Candice Taylor sings and leads the band. Expect soul and funk classics, R&B and rock next to Top 40, retro dance and party pop, often stitched together as live medleys and mash-ups. One booking can take in ceremony music, easy acoustic sets while cocktails are served, and the reception party. Planning, custom song picks and liaising with the venue on the day are all handled by Candice and her team. Past rooms include Metropolis, Crown Melbourne, Stones of the Yarra Valley, Aerial and Carousel, and they're booked around Victoria for awards nights, weddings, work Christmas parties and corporate celebrations.
