Loops, samples and a saxophone, all built live in front of you. That's the engine of I ♥️U, a Cairns duo that plays its own music alongside popular contemporary covers. IZAK, also known as Isaac, switches between saxophone and guitar while singing, rapping and beatboxing, layering it all up with loopers, a synthesiser and drum machines. Umalicious sings, plays drums and percussion, and takes the mic as MC. The pair can keep things chilled and acoustic for a cafe crowd, or push into upbeat dance and club music when a festival or party is ready to move. They've played around Australia and overseas, and they take bookings nationwide.
