Hogan & Carruthers is a musical duo based in Mornington, VIC.
Hogan & Carruthers come to engage an audience, not to play background music. Their lane is country rock and blues, with Australian and American covers mixed in among originals credited to Carruthers, such as Just Too Sentimental and Cruising Along. Expect Tequila Sunrise, Fire and Rain, Down Under, Mr Bojangles and Cat's in the Cradle, plus a few Jimmy Buffett numbers like Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes. Ballads, dance tunes and classics get shuffled to suit the gig. For a bigger night they can call in seasoned musicians, with fiddle, piano, sax and flute joining bass and drums. They supply quality sound and lighting and need at least 15 square metres of stage. The duo comes from Mornington and travels nationwide.
