About
Helen is a musical soloist based in Brisbane, QLD.
Helen writes and sings her own songs, and her background in opera and music theatre shapes the way she uses her voice. Her originals mix pop, rock, jazz and EDM. For a function she leans on easy-listening covers that run from jazz standards to Top 40, and she'll sing classically for a wedding ceremony if you ask. She usually performs solo, but can also bring her guitarist Steve for a duo or turn up with her band. You'll find her around Brisbane and the Gold Coast, at cafes and bars as well as larger venues and events. Her debut EP, You're The One, came out in 2012, and her songs have had airplay in regional Australia through the AMRAP Airit program in 2015 and 2017. Away from her own gigs, she heads a performing arts conservatory, and APRA lists her as a full writer member.
