Gwyn Ashton

A Gwyn Ashton show is original songs with a few choice covers mixed in, plus storytelling and some audience participation. Ashton is a blues, folk and rock guitarist and singer who plays solo or as a duo, with 45 years of touring behind the act. The gigs have covered 32 countries, in rooms ranging from restaurants, theatres and jazz, blues and folk clubs up to Wembley Arena. Book it for people who want to hear the music, not talk over it. The requests are simple: power, a covered stage area 5 metres wide, space for a merchandise table and plenty of drinking water, plus a vegetarian meal if you can manage it. Ashton belongs to the UK Musicians Union, holds public liability insurance through it, lives in Adelaide and travels nationwide.
