Guy Netanel plays records, real ones. The sets are built from vinyl, rare original pressings collected around the world, and the music leans towards Brazilian grooves, Latin heat, African rhythms, Arabic melodies, soulful jazz, blues, funk and soul. Each record is picked to follow the flow of the event, so the music can sit warm and low while guests arrive and then build into a dance floor later on. It's a DJ for a stylish party or wedding where the music itself is part of the point. Guy is upfront that a standard Top 40 playlist isn't the offer. There are two ways to book: the full package, with a sound system sized to your venue, a complete DJ setup with effects and recording, delivery, sound check and pack-down, or just the DJ setup plugged into the venue's own system. Guy is based in Rose Bay and travels nationwide.
