Gumpy Savidas

Gumpy Savidas sings and plays guitar in Savidas, a duo completed by Katie Richards on vocals and drums. Their music folds roots, reggae, folk and funk in with old-school rhythms into something that doesn't sit neatly in a box, and it has picked up the unlikely label of bluegrass hip-hop. The pair play their own material and are based in Cairns. With just two on stage it's a compact act, which suits a bar, a festival stage or a relaxed party where the crowd is open to something different.
