Roaring 20s theme party on the calendar? The Great Gatsby Tribute is an eight-piece Brisbane swing band fronted by a female lead singer, and their neo-swing sound is made for lindy hop and anyone willing to give it a go. It's big-band energy aimed squarely at the dance floor, so guests who came in pinstripes and wingtips will have plenty to do. The music borrows from the swing era and gives it a modern lift. They also play corporate functions, where a room full of colleagues in feathers and fedoras is a fairly good sign the night is working.
