Grant Windle is a solo pianist and singer based in Brisbane, QLD.
Grant Windle keeps things low-key: love songs, jazz ballads and the Great American Songbook, played at a level people can talk over. About three quarters of the night is on piano or keyboard and the rest on guitar, which gives the set a nice change in texture. He also covers R&B and classic hits, drawing on Stevie Wonder, Burt Bacharach, Norah Jones, Bread, The Carpenters, James Taylor, Elton John and Coldplay. It's mood music for a piano bar, a hotel lobby, a restaurant or a dinner where atmosphere matters more than a dance floor. Given a good grand piano he'll play it; otherwise he brings a keyboard, and his Bose PA covers smaller rooms. Beyond that he only needs power. His base is Brisbane, and bookings within 100 km are all in range.
