Grand Alpha Funk is a cover band based in Brisbane, QLD.
Seven players, and most of them sing. Grand Alpha Funk line up with a lead vocalist, a second lead who also plays sax, lead guitar, bass, keys doubling on tenor sax, drums and an extra percussionist. With two saxes and two sets of percussion in the mix, the groove has real weight. It's a Brisbane party band, and the set moves from soul dinner tunes early in the night into funk, disco, R&B and hip hop, with jazz, blues, pop and Top 40 hits in there too. The players are experienced Brisbane musicians who have worked plenty of rooms. Weddings, work functions, milestone nights and themed parties are their territory, anywhere a busy dance floor is the goal.
