Gordon Matheson

Jazz is Gordon Matheson's home ground, though weddings and corporate functions usually get an acoustic guitar set, played solo or over backing tracks. The repertoire runs into the thousands of tunes: ballads, popular songs, flamenco, classical, jazz and easy listening, picked to suit the event. Over more than 40 years as a professional guitarist and teacher, Gordon has played with John Farnham, Tina Arena, Liza Minnelli and The Seekers, and sat in the orchestra for Evita, Hair and The Rocky Horror Show. These days Gordon also plays in the Gold Coast Big Band and the Jazz Kings, and takes session work. Gordon's own sound system comes along, so a power point close by is all that's needed.
