Book Golden Apples and you get Jye, the person who plans your music and then DJs and MCs the night. It's a one-person business, so there's no hand-over between the planning and the party. Jye spends hours building the playlist before the event and still takes requests on the night. The kit is two laptops, white column speakers, a DJ booth dressed in black or white cloth, dance floor wash lights and a wireless or wired microphone. For a large room or an outdoor party, a 15-inch subwoofer can be added for more bass, and a set of 360-degree tube lights is another option. Weddings, corporate events, private parties and school balls are the main work. Jye is based in Scarborough, travels up to 300 km from Perth and holds public liability insurance.
