Gabrielle Lambe

Gabrielle Lambe sings somewhere between alternative, soul and jazz, and she doesn't let any one genre claim her. She's borrowed techniques from each style and folded them into a soulful sound of her own, and the performance comes across polished but grounded. The artists she draws on are a broad lot: Radiohead, Amy Winehouse, D'Angelo, Hiatus Kaiyote and Jeff Buckley. Based in Kingscliff, New South Wales, she suits a cocktail hour, a bar or an evening where the music is worth paying attention to.
