Fusion Mafiosi

Fusion Mafiosi is a Sydney three-piece of guitar, drums and bass, and each player arrives with serious training. On guitar, Danny John did a stint at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, where his teachers and playing partners included Scott Henderson, Jean Marc Belkadi, Mike Stern and Brett Garsed. He's also shared a stage with Vanessa Amorosi, Brian Tichy and Ray Luzier. James Dennett plays drums. He took out the Billy Hyde Open Drummers Playoff in Sydney in 2003 and has worked across many styles, on TV, in the studio and live. Marcos Gil, the bass player, comes from Buenos Aires, trained at SADEM Music Institute and has played covers and originals at festivals, venues and corporate events in both Australia and South America. It's a cover band where the musicianship is part of the show, which suits a crowd that likes watching the players as much as dancing.
