Funky J

Funk, soul, hip hop and disco, blended in one set: that's how Funky J plays. He started spinning records in the late 90s, though he says it's only in recent years that he's really found his groove. These days he's back playing Melbourne bars, bandrooms and clubs. The music has swing and warmth to it, which works for a party crowd that likes a bassline and knows its old records. He's a part-time DJ with a full-time love of music.
