Folkstone Avenue is a musical duo based in Brisbane, QLD.
Two singer-songwriters, Hello Jane and Maisy Taylor, make up Folkstone Avenue, a Brisbane acoustic duo built on close harmonies and a pair of acoustic guitars. They play covers from the 60s up to now, alongside their own songs, with folk and country in the mix and a ukulele sometimes. Expect things like Call Me, Budapest, Ho Hey, Dancing in the Dark, Brown Eyed Girl, Feel It Still and I Wanna Dance With Somebody. It's easy, warm music for a wedding ceremony, a cafe or a work function. They bring a full PA that plays your background music over Bluetooth between sets, and for a spot with no power point there's a battery-run amp. Set-up takes 20 to 30 minutes. They hold public liability insurance and travel anywhere in Queensland.
