Filippo

Accordion music carries a long way, which makes Filippo an easy act to have strolling among your guests. French and Italian songs are his speciality, along with European tunes, ballads and popular numbers, and he takes requests and sings in 15 languages. He's good at getting people laughing, dancing and singing along. His bookings have ranged from festivals, restaurants, shopping centres and plenty of school shows to the Park Hyatt, Les Halles, The Chifley, Cafe de France, The Treasury and the 2001 Lord Mayor's Ball, and he's toured New Zealand and New Caledonia. SBS viewers may know him too, from 60 appearances alongside Gabriel Gaté. The Herald Sun's Ron Reed once caught him in a beret and striped shirt, strolling the Long Room of the Members Stand with French music. Filippo plays solo, or as a duo or trio. He's based in Preston, Victoria, and travels Australia-wide.
