Fiction is a cover band based in Melbourne, VIC.
Fiction won Best Live Wedding Band for Victoria at the 2023 ABIA Awards, and weddings are the centre of what they do. A full wedding day can start with an acoustic duo for the ceremony, including music as guests arrive and leave, then a cocktail trio for 45 minutes, then three 50-minute reception sets. The reception can be booked on its own, and they play corporate and private functions too. The songs are upbeat pop and rock people know, from Valerie and April Sun in Cuba to Uptown Funk, Shut Up and Dance, Sweet Home Alabama and Shake It Off, and they'll learn specific songs on request. They supply all the sound and lighting, set up before guests arrive and pack down after they leave. You'll need two separate power outlets and a clear, flat space. Sally and Phil run the band themselves. Insured, and they travel nationwide from Melbourne.
