For Eva: An Eva Cassidy Story brings together the life and the music of the American singer and guitarist, with Lauren Dawes and band on stage. Cassidy had a way of making other people's songs her own, in gospel, folk, blues, jazz, country and pop, and the show follows suit. Over the Rainbow and Songbird are in there, as are Stormy Monday, Fields of Gold, Wade in the Water and People Get Ready, with many more besides. Because the story is told alongside the music, it suits an audience that's there to listen. The show is based in Sydney.
