Esteban

Esteban is a one-man band built around an acoustic guitar and a customised loop system. He records and stacks guitar, bass grooves, percussion, beatbox, harmonies and solos live, so the sound fills out like a full band. He likes to reshape songs as he goes, which keeps his takes on 60s, 80s and 90s hits, Aussie classics, R&B, reggae-flavoured happy tunes and modern hits from sounding like the radio. He sings mostly in English, with some Spanish versions of English songs, and for something different he can play Mexican music or classic Latin tunes. There's a chilled background mode for dinners too, plus a DJ and Latin music combo. Weddings get the full run: ceremony, canapés and reception. Originally from South America, he's been playing the Sunshine Coast for nearly a decade, is insured and travels up to 200 km. Outdoors he needs a covered area.
