Eric Grothe and The Gurus

Rugby league fans tend to bring their memorabilia to an Eric Grothe and The Gurus gig, and Eric is happy to sign it and pose for photos. The rugby league great sings and plays guitar out front of this Sydney party band. Classic rock from the 70s and 80s shares the set with recent chart songs, all pitched at a club, hotel, festival or corporate crowd that wants a fun night. The band has been playing since 2006, with regular P&O special event cruises and trips to the Tamworth Country Music Festival. Guests who have joined them on stage include Dave Gleeson, Sarah McLeod, Jon Stevens, Mark Gable, Mike Vee, Wolf Mail, Phil Emmanuel and Mal Eastick. They're based in Gymea, in the Sutherland Shire.
