EON puts a live saxophone on top of a DJ's beats and turntable work, and the result is acid jazz and urban groove for a room that's up and moving. Rick Robertson leads the band on sax and was a founding member of D.I.G. DJ Jeremy Kirschner runs Ableton Live, layering in a cappellas, raps, sound effects and his own beats. Ian Mussington lays down the grooves, drawing on his London days working with Cameo, Courtney Pine and Paul Weller, and five years touring and recording in the US with Soul Asylum. You can book DJ, sax and congas, DJ, sax and a female vocalist, or all four together. The trio has played Vibes on a Summer's Day and the Darling Harbour Jazz Festival, held regular spots at the Cruise Bar, The Loft, Astral Bar and the Opera Bar, and plays plenty of corporate parties in Sydney.
