Emo Majok builds each set around the event at hand rather than pulling one off the shelf. Jokes about the actual room tend to hit harder at a work do or a big birthday than a stock club set. The stand-up comes with a solid run of awards. In 2018 Emo took out a Raw Comedy state title and made that year's national final. The 2019 Ultimate Funniest Comedian crown followed, then the Comedy Lounge's 2021 Comedian of the Year. Australia's Got Talent had Emo as a finalist in 2022, and at the Comics Lounge in 2023, over the Melbourne comedy festival, came the award for Best Interstate Act. All Emo needs is a microphone and stand. Emo is based in Melbourne and travels nationwide.
