Eleanor Meredith is at her best in a jazz setting, singing and improvising from the piano. She's a Hobart singer and pianist with a fluid voice and a light, sensitive touch on the keys, and she moves comfortably into funk, soul, R&B and folk as well. Solo, it's a small footprint and a quiet sound, and that suits a cocktail hour or a restaurant function where guests sit near the piano. Jazz standards played with some room to wander are her strongest card.
