EarthKin is a cover band based in Cairns, QLD.
Seven players and a lot of funk: EarthKin is a Cairns collective built around funk and disco classics, with some original songs in the mix. Two lead vocalists front the band, backed by Luke Briscoe on lead guitar and vocals, Stephen Maxwell on keys and vocals, Mario Conde Cuarita on sax, flute and percussion, Timmy Wason on bass and Ben Hakalitz on drums. When a song calls for it, local trumpet and violin players join. Expect September, Brick House, Lady Marmalade, Ain't Nobody, Superstition, Get Lucky and Use Me, among others, usually across two 45-minute sets. For shows outside Cairns, check the PA, microphone and drum kit arrangements with them. They travel nationwide.
