Duo Classico is a musical duo based in Canberra, ACT.
Where a string quartet might be your first thought, Duo Classico offer a two-person option with a similarly elegant sound. The Canberra pair play flute and piano, moving from Bach and Handel to songs by Billy Joel and Paul McCartney, themes from The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast, and jazz and Latin standards by Antonio Carlos Jobim and Duke Ellington. Medleys from The Phantom of the Opera and South Pacific round it out. They'd rather play a real piano, but if the venue has none they'll bring an electric piano and a small PA. A solo pianist option covers smaller occasions, and they also play at funerals and Morning Melodies concerts. Expect a pleasant, professional pair. They travel up to 50 km.
