Dr Boogie is a cover band based in Perth, WA.
Radio edit versions of current Top 40 songs are the backbone of a Dr Boogie set, played the way people know them from the radio. Mixed in are older dance hits, old skool R&B mash-ups and some cabaret material. The Perth five-piece has a strong electronic edge, with electronic drums, synthesisers, sample pads and bass guitar, and three vocalists out front. The band puts real effort into how it looks as well as how it sounds, and has already headlined three outdoor festivals. The music suits all ages, so it works at a birthday, a wedding or a club party where the aim is simply to get everyone up and dancing.
