Down for the Count is a cover band based in Melbourne, VIC.
Down for the Count stick to a tight window, 1974 to 1987, the years when Countdown decided what everyone listened to. The Melbourne band plays the big hits from that stretch plus some forgotten album tracks from the era, and the crowd usually ends up singing along. Expect Split Enz, Icehouse, Hunters and Collectors, Skyhooks, the Sunnyboys and Midnight Oil, alongside The Cure, Billy Idol, The Clash and Bowie. Book them for anywhere from a single set up to three, fitted to your night. They bring their own PA and lights along with every other piece of equipment, so all they need is somewhere to play and a few power points. Allow one and a half to two hours to set up. They travel up to 50 km.
