Django Blackheart

Django Blackheart write and play their own blues and roots songs, so this is a band for a crowd that wants to hear something new rather than a jukebox. Tom Harpo Walker leads from the front on guitar, harmonica and vocals. Doug Brown plays the second guitar, Mitch Mitchell is on bass, and Pedro Mello drums and sings. Blues Roots and Other Fruits, the band's first album, went in at number two on the blues airplay charts in Australia and the UK. It's a four-piece that works on a festival stage and just as well in a small room with a proper listening crowd. They're based in Rozelle, NSW.
