DJ Salami

Proto techno, outsider house, Italo disco and the odd neu club anthem: that's the kind of dance floor DJ Salami builds, and it's a long way from a standard party playlist. He's spent more than 15 years playing Sydney parties. It started at Goodgod Small Club, where he hosted the Jingle Jangle nights and dug up strange world music recorded before the internet for people to dance to. Later he opened Freda's, his own left-field club, and an Italo Disco night there is where the old alias Smokey LaBeef gave way to DJ Salami. Freda's also had him hosting some of the best-known DJs in the world. Book him when your crowd wants to hear something they've never heard before and dance to it anyway.
