Rare vinyl is the thread through Josie Styles's DJ sets, and she's travelled a long way to find it. Josie has worked in music since 2000, and she reads each event before choosing what to play, so a dinner and a dance floor won't get the same records. Collecting has taken her overseas to play, including Portland's First Friday Super Jam, which she returns to every year, and Mobile Mondays, a 45s night in New York. Back in Sydney she was one of the founding members of the Sydney 45 Sessions. She has also played nearly every Genius of Dilla tribute fundraiser since the series began in 2007.
