More than 500 weddings, corporate functions and private events have had Austy on the decks, so the run of a formal night holds few surprises. Austin McCrea, who works as Austy, is a Perth DJ with 15 years of experience, and also a music producer and a sound engineer, which counts for a lot when a venue's speakers or a speech microphone start playing up. Alongside the function work, Austy has held residencies at a number of nightclubs and bars around the city, which is useful once the formalities are over and the floor wants to stay busy.
