Afrobeats and reggae sit right next to R&B, hip hop and hip hop soul in a DJ ALZ set. Behind the decks is Allen, a Gold Coast DJ who's a musician too, which helps when he's blending one style into the next. He likes trying new techniques live rather than playing it safe, and his aim is to leave people lifted by the music. With that much rhythm in the crate, he's one to book when the room wants to move from the first track to the last.
