Discology is a disco band based in Melbourne, VIC.
Discology is a show as much as a set. Four musicians and two or three singers take the room through disco from its funky early 70s beginnings to the electronic pop end of the 80s, with stories about life in that decade told between songs and footage playing on a big screen behind them. The music comes as long medleys built from the best part of each track, so you get Stayin' Alive, Funkytown, Heart of Glass, Kung Fu Fighting, I Feel Love and September without waiting through full versions. Plan for 135 minutes, including a 20 minute break. They supply the screen and projector, and a PA on request. You'll need a stage big enough for the whole line-up. The show comes from Melbourne and travels nationwide.
