Dirty Grooves

Two players, one on drums and one on keys, and a sound that fills out like a much bigger band. Dirty Grooves are Clint Bramston behind the kit and Justin Stock on keys, and between them they cover the bass lines, the grooves and layered vocal harmonies. Their list runs past 300 songs, mostly 2000s pop, soul, funk and disco, and they'll shape a set for your occasion or learn a request with enough notice. A standard night is three 45-minute sets, which they're happy to spread around speeches and delays. They bring their own PA and lights. Allow at least an hour to set up, ideally two, plus a 4.5 by 2.5 metre space and two or three power points. The Wollongong duo travels nationwide, though for fly-in gigs you'll need to supply the PA and lights. Public liability insured.
