Dinner Suit Boogie is a cover band based in Melbourne, VIC.
Dinner Suit Boogie are a party band first, and the set jumps between generations without apology: Michael Jackson and Elvis, The Beatles and The Stones, then Jay-Z, Bruno Mars, OutKast and Dr Dre. Five core players from Melbourne's soul, jazz and party music scene make up the band. Out front is Ryan Ritchie, who switches between rapping and singing without missing a beat. He has toured with De La Soul, The Roots and Moby, and has worked as musical director for the Melbourne Grand Prix and the Melbourne International Fashion Festival. Expect improvised rap jams about your friends, sing-along moments and lots of banter with the room. It's made for a wedding, a function or a big house party that wants to dance.
