Dean Nash

Stories sit at the heart of Dean Nash's songs. Dean is a singer-songwriter and theatre maker who started out in alt rock and punk bands before settling into a folk-leaning style, with a big soft spot for musical theatre. The latest project joins those worlds. Dean, Don't Dance is an award-winning musical comedy cabaret, an hour long and built to be radically accessible, about working in the performing arts as a disabled artist. It mixes stories, sharp jokes and original songs, and has played a season at the Old Fitz Theatre. Recordings include a 2021 EP, In the Autumn, and a 2023 single, Leather Wallet. With 11 O'Clock Theatre, Dean co-wrote a concept musical called The Breaths in Between. Dean teaches singing, too.
