Danté Knows

Reggae, dancehall and heavy trap bass are the roots of a Danté Knows set, bent together with hip hop and even a bit of psychedelic rock. He grew up in Brooklyn, New York, with West Indian heritage, and names Lil Wayne and Vybz Kartel among his influences. These days he's in Sydney and a known face in its hip hop community. Every month he hosts Pass The Mic with Bodega Collective, where 15 young musicians each get one song in front of a room of more than 300 hip hop fans and industry people. Fashion is his other world. GQ and Complex have featured him, and he's walked for Vfiles at New York's fashion week. For a party that wants a DJ with real standing in hip hop, he's worth a look.
