Curbside Carnies

Curbside Carnies began as a mobile circus during Melbourne's lockdowns, pushing a small portable stage onto the streets for free pop-up shows in the city and the country. It has since grown into a circus company working Australia-wide, often alongside councils and community organisations, including programs for priority groups. Bookings usually mean roving performers, circus workshops, play spaces, pop-up shows or a specialised program. The act list is long: acrobats, jugglers, clowns, balancing acts, bubble artists, hula hoops, fire performers, face painting and balloons, among others. Roving work needs next to no set-up, while a pop-up show takes up to 30 minutes. All the performers carry public liability insurance and hold Working With Children Checks.
