Countdown Reloaded is an 80s cover band based in Gold Coast, QLD.
Countdown Reloaded rebuild the Countdown era of Australian TV, the music show that ran from 1974 to 1987, one year at a time. Five musicians and singers work through the hits that played on Countdown, local and international: Howzat, Devil Gate Drive, April Sun in Cuba, Love Is in the Air, Rock and Roll All Nite, Video Killed the Radio Star, Kids in America, Tainted Love, Billie Jean and Footloose, with a Time Warp thrown in. Skyhooks, Sherbet, Suzi Quatro, John Paul Young, John Farnham, ABBA and Madonna all turn up along the way. It's made for an 80s or retro night where the guests remember the show. A full sound and lighting rig travels with them, along with a sound engineer. Outdoors, they need secure, stable cover. The group works out of the Gold Coast and covers a 200 km radius.
