COBRA 45s is a cover band based in Melbourne, VIC.
If a song was a hit in the 50s, 60s or 70s, there's a fair chance COBRA 45s can play it. The Melbourne band sticks to rock 'n' roll and rhythm and blues, uptempo and made for dancing, with Johnny HoundDog on vocals, harmonies from the band and solos from the sax and lead guitar. The list takes in Elvis, Chuck Berry, Eddie Cochran, Roy Orbison, Dion, Big Joe Turner and Bill Haley and His Comets, plus Creedence, the Stones, the Beatles, the Blues Brothers and the Commitments. Everything is played live, with no backing tapes. They've been working Melbourne and regional pubs and clubs since 2012, bring their own PA and lighting, and will tailor sets to the venue. They're insured and travel nationwide.
