Glowing LED robot, mirror-suited character, stilt walker, podium dancer or hula hooper: ClockworkManda can play any of them, and several in one booking. Twenty-plus years of performing and a commercial dance background show in her fluid, slightly eccentric movement. Festival stages are a favourite, especially freestyling next to live musicians. At events, the acts rove among guests in sets of 20 or 30 minutes, with costume changes in between, and a hoop playspace can give guests an hour to have a go themselves. Stilt shows need somewhere out of sight to get up on stilts, like a loading dock or a sturdy table with a chair on top, and every act needs a small private room for changes and breaks. The LED costumes stay inside if it rains, so have a wet weather plan. She's based at Kangaroo Point and travels statewide.
