Chuck Berry Tribute is a tribute band based in Sydney, NSW.
Chuck Berry's songs were made for dancing, and the five Sydney musicians in Chuck Berry Tribute play them that way. Jeremy Edwards and Adam Pringle are on guitar, Benny Edwards plays bass, Rob Woolf handles keys and George Brugmans sits behind the drums, and all five are devoted Berry fans. The set has Johnny B. Goode, Roll Over Beethoven, Maybellene and Little Queenie, with plenty more of the same vintage. Between songs the band shares short stories about Berry himself and the background to the music, so you pick up a bit of rock and roll history on the way. A night runs as two 50-minute sets, with an encore to finish. It's an easy choice for a 50s theme party or any crowd that likes to jive.
