Christine Manetta & The Culture Combo

For cocktails, start small: Christine's voice with piano or guitar. Grow it to a trio with bass, horn or violin, or go right up to seven players with drums, sax and trumpet when the dancing starts. Christine Manetta leads every version. Over 200 songs cover jazz standards from the Great American Songbook, soul, blues and R&B classics, and pop songs reworked as jazz. The band brings drums, bass and keyboard amps and microphones, and can supply the PA as well, though using a house system keeps costs down. The Culture Combo has played jazz and blues festivals at Port Fairy, Merimbula and Newport. Based in Melbourne, insured, and they travel across Victoria.
