Chelle Janse van Rensburg

Jazz is one side of Chelle Janse van Rensburg's music. R&B, soul and funk are the others, with a singer-songwriter streak running through the lot. She's a Brisbane musician as well as a singer, and her voice is smooth rather than showy, which lets a set move from a quiet jazz standard to something with a bit more groove without jarring anyone. She has a strong presence on stage too. It's music that sits well at a cocktail evening, a restaurant function or a wedding where the drinks come before the dancing.
