Champs

Champs is the DJ name of Ira Gontcharov, a Ukrainian-born producer with residencies in Sydney. Her own sets move through house, funk, disco, electronica, ambient tech and jungle, and the pull is hypnotic, the kind that keeps people moving without noticing the time. The residencies show another side. There she mixes pub classics and sing-alongs with R&B and dance hits from across the decades, reading a mixed crowd as she goes. So you can ask for a club-style set for a late crowd, or the familiar hits for a party where everyone knows the words.
