Cassawarrior

Rare Afro and tropical records are Cassawarrior's speciality, many of them found in person on long digging trips through East and West Africa and the Caribbean. He's a record collector who goes to the source and spends time in the culture behind the music. Before DJing he was a musician, touring on bass guitar with Ethiopian greats Alemayehu Eshete, Mulatu Astatke and Mahmoud Ahmed. He's also a regular at Glastonbury Festival. For a party that wants rhythms from far outside the usual playlist, this is the DJ to talk to.
