Carinda Christie

One woman, a lot of instruments. In her solo acoustic show Carinda Christie plays acoustic and slide guitars, keyboard and ukulele, keeps the beat with kick and snare foot pads, and sings with a big, soulful voice. Her covers range across blues, pop, folk and rock, which suits a lively pub crowd, and she also plays festivals and original showcases. For a bigger sound there's her four-piece band, which leans towards blues-boogie and pop rock. She's been playing for three decades and is well known in Cairns and along Australia's east coast.
