Captain Wow

More than 200 shows a year for over twenty years sit behind Captain Wow, a band built to shrink from a full four-piece down to trio, duo or a single performer depending on the budget and the room. Weddings, corporate functions, private parties and costumed theme nights are all regular work, and the music runs from late-60s hits through disco, 80s and 90s and 00s pop and on into current tracks. A set can hold a quieter acoustic stretch through dinner before pushing into a full dance-floor run once guests are ready for it. Outdoor jobs call for a flat, dry patch with shade and standard power, and the stage footprint runs from a compact solo setup up to five metres by three for the whole band. The Gold Coast is base, insurance cover is held, and travel covers the whole country.
